Whether you're across town, criss-crossing New York State, or traveling cross-country...

We're Here For You!

Introducing the Credit Union Service Center Cooperative Network. As a Summit member, you can use a Credit Union Service Center location to conduct all of your credit union business. There are now nearly 30 Credit Union Service Center locations in the Rochester, Buffalo and Central NY areas! Visit www.cuservicecenters.com  for a complete listing of locations.

Q: What is a Credit Union Service Center?

A: A Credit Union Service Center is a credit union branch that is equipped to accept transactions from members of other credit unions…like yours. When you use a Credit Union Service Center, you'll find the person-to-person service you expect plus the convenience of new locations!

Q: How do I know if a credit union is a participating Credit Union Service Center?

A: Just look for the swirl logo at the entrance welcoming you at all Credit Union Service Center locations.

Q: How do I use a Credit Union Service Center?

A: Present your credit union account number and a photo ID to the member service representative (MSR) at the Credit Union Service Center. Within a few seconds, the MSR is automatically linked to your account at The Summit, and can conduct deposits, withdrawals1 and transfer transactions as you need. It's that simple.

Q: Do I have to be a member of the credit union hosting the Credit Union Service Center?

A: No. In fact, the rules of the Credit Union Service Center network state that the hosting credit union should not solicit visiting members to join their credit union. The Credit Union Service Center network is built on the concept of cooperation, and provides a neutral environment in order to benefit credit union members nationwide.

Q: Exactly what transactions can I perform at a Credit Union Service Center?

A: As a member of a participating credit union, you can:

  • Deposit Funds
  • Withdraw Funds
  • Transfer Funds
  • Make a Loan Payment
  • Cash a Check

Q: Is there an additional transaction fee for using a Credit Union Service Center?

A: No. Members do not pay to use Credit Union Service Centers. However, a charge may apply for some services.

Q: Is the Credit Union Service Center a branch of The Summit FCU?

A: Not actually, but you can conduct most financial transactions that you would usually complete at The Summit. No matter where the Credit Union Service Center is located, you can access your own personal credit union account there. Technology and the spirit of cooperation have enabled credit unions across the country to welcome you in the personal manner you're accustomed to!

Q: I'm planning a trip. How can I find out if I'll be near a Credit Union Service Center?

A: Just visit this special website, www.cuservicecenters.com, or call the toll-free locator service at (800) 919-2872 for a complete listing of locations and hours of over 2,300 Credit Union Service Centers nationwide.  Since The Summit is a participant, you may use any Credit Union Service Center as if it were your own. You can also contact us, and we'll be happy to give you a list of all locations.
