Central New York’s beloved Taste of Syracuse will be held for the 23rd time June 7th and 8th. Lest you think this year’s festival is the same-old-same-old (and what’s wrong with that, anyway), we’ve got a list of new restaurants joining the Taste this year. Take a look at who these new folks are. If available, the $1 taste they’ll be featuring is here, too. Plan accordingly.

Bang Cookies
Fresh, organic, giant cookies in creative flavor combinations, along with cookie sandwiches and cookie cakes using the highest-quality ingredients.
$1 taste: sea salt chocolate chunk cookie sample

Cantina Laredo
Authentic, modern Mexican cuisine with locations across the United States and beyond.
$1 taste: Laredo nachos

Dang’s Café
Authentic, healthy and fresh Vietnamese cuisine, including traditional favorites, vegetarian options and sandwiches.

Firehouse Subs
Gourmet subs and sides. A portion of purchases supports the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, which provides lifesaving equipment to first responders.
$1 taste: New York Steamer sub (corned beef brisket, pastrami, provolone + toppings and condiments) or Hook & Ladder sub (turkey, ham, Monterey jack + condiments)

Gilligan’s Ice Cream
Decadent handmade ice cream, including unique and seasonal flavors as well as several flavors of beer, wine and hard cider ice cream.
$1 taste: assorted ice cream

Hope Café and Tea House
Each purchase at Hope Café helps support The People Project, a Syracuse organization working to provide education for children living in extreme poverty in Trujillo, Peru.
$1 taste: chipotle shrimp bombs

Kevi’s Treats
A unique home-baked goods company offering cooking classes & kids cooking classes, including therapeutic cooking classes.
$1 taste: banana pudding or lemon cookie

KJ Concessions
From the heart of wing country comes KJ Concessions, known for their Buffalo chicken wing dip, wing stix and mac-n-cheese.

Luna Café
This year’s Taste of Syracuse is Luna Café’s debut. A full-service cat café opening soon, Luna Café offers dishes inspired by cuisine from across the world.
$1 taste: mini Luna BBQ meatball

Ma Pow
Delicious, fresh Thai cuisine.
$1 taste: mango sticky rice

OIP (Original Italian Pizza)
Known for hand-tossed pizza and the “char-grilled” wings that helped them grow from one location in 2005 to over six around the Syracuse area.
$1 taste: slice of pizza

Rte. 31 Smokehouse BBQ
Tasty Barbeque that has earned Route 31 a hefty local following since it opened.
$1 taste: BBQ smoked chicken wings

Skip’s Fishfry
With fresh seafood sourced from Boston, this family-owned Oswego establishment serves up authentic New England fish fry and more.

Teddie Eddie’s

What the Fudge
