Reading and Shelter Animals Go Hand in Paw

For the third year, The Summit Federal Credit Union and the Irondequoit Public Library have teamed up for charity, this year to support the Animal Service League, a local organization that serves animals in need and promotes responsible pet care.

Those who participated in the Irondequoit Public Library’s summer reading program could choose to donate to the Animal Service League instead of claiming their weekly prizes. The Summit provided the funds to cover the donations, which totaled $250.
