The Taste of the Market cooking demonstration series at the Rochester Public Market is underway. Sponsored by The Summit Federal Credit Union and held at the new nutrition education center inside the indoor shed, these demonstrations show market-goers how to prepare easy, healthy meals using fresh food from the market. Taste of the Market is a program of the Friends of the Rochester Public Market.
The inaugural demonstration was held Saturday, July 20th at noon. Taste of the Market Director Melanie Popick taught the audience how to make zucchini ravioli with no-cook tomato sauce. Those who attended enjoyed tasty samples of the dish.
