In 2022, Phyllis Wiseberg, a 90-year-old widow, lost $20,000 when cybercriminals withdrew the money from her account. Her story, shared by the National Council on Aging, is devastating, but unfortunately, not uncommon. In 2024, seniors lost $4.8 billion to scammers, according to a report by the FBI.
Financial exploitation is a reality many seniors face, especially in the age of online scams. What tactics are criminals using to get to your hard-earned money? How can you protect yourself from identity theft? This free seminar will give attendees the tools they need to avoid becoming a victim of fraud and scams.
A light lunch will be provided.
This seminar is free and open to the public, but reservations are required.
Click here to reserve your spot by Thursday, March 5th.
