Galaxy Media has announced that Central New York’s biggest food and music festival, The Summit Federal Credit Union Taste of Syracuse, will return on Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8, 2024, in and around Clinton Square from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm both days. Admission is free.
Taste of Syracuse is sponsored by The Summit Federal Credit Union and presented by Tops Friendly Markets.
Festival-goers will have the chance to sample delicious items from local eateries for only $2. Several new restaurants and vendors will be joining the 2024 festival, and many fan favorites will be returning.
The Taste of Syracuse will have non-stop music for two days featuring over 30 bands and over 100 local musicians. The Grammy-Award nominated band, Hanson, will headline the festival on Saturday night on the Main Stage. Additionally, American rock band, Cracker, will perform on the Clinton Stage early evening on Saturday. The Zac Brown Tribute Band will entertain audiences on Friday. The popular youth talent showcase will return to the festival on Saturday from 11:00 am-1:00 pm.
The Taste of Syracuse will collect donations for two charitable organizations, Griffin’s Guardians and Paige’s Butterfly Run. The Summit, Tops, along with other sponsors and vendors will be working with the festival to raise money for these great charities all weekend long. All proceeds from activities at The Summit’s tent and the Tops tent will be donated to these charities.
Griffin’s Guardians provides support and financial assistance to children battling cancer in Central New York. They work hand in hand with Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital to stay up to date on what the patients’ and families’ current needs are. In addition, they strive to bring awareness to Pediatric Cancer and to provide financial aid for funding Pediatric Cancer Research.
For over 25 years, Paige’s Butterfly Run has been a critical part of Central New York’s efforts to fight cancer and blood disorders in children. The annual run is held in downtown Syracuse, early in the morning of the second day of the Taste of Syracuse Festival.
