We continue to follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as well as federal, state and local agencies. Protecting the community and our team members however we can is critical. Employees and members are required to adhere to proper hygiene, social distancing rules, appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and cleaning/disinfecting protocols.

  • When you visit a branch, if you have an appointment or would like to meet with a Member Service Specialistplease visit the designated check-in area. If you are visiting a branch and only need to perform a transaction, please proceed to the teller line.
  • We’ve installed social distance markers at each branch. This determines the maximum capacity allowed in the branch at a time.
  • If we reach maximum capacity, you will be asked to wait in your car.
  • We’ve installed acrylic partitions that allow for visibility and conversation while keeping everyone safe and healthy.
  • We have cleaning supplies on hand (gloves, wipes and hand sanitizer available and accessible).
  • We’re regularly disinfecting areas where transactions occur.

Effective Monday, January 25th the Taft Road branch will resume to full-service. All other branch locations continue to operate as full-service.

Members can utilize walk-in teller services like deposits, withdrawals and loan payments, as well as sit with a Member Specialist at a desk. If you would like to sit with a Member Specialist, we recommend you request an appointment. This will help limit wait times due to social distancing and maximum capacity limitations. To help with social distancing, we encourage you to continue to take advantage of the expanded services that are offered through our drive-up teller, as well as our digital resources.

As the coronavirus situation unfolds, we know that you may need extra help. We are here to assist you. If you have experienced a disruption in your income due to COVID-19, and need help meeting your monthly obligations, we have resources designed to help members facing financial hardship due to COVID-19.

Loan Payment Relief Assistance
Loan extensions for members who qualify are available for up to 3 months on consumer loans including auto, home equity, boat, RV and personal loans.

Mortgage Loan Assistance
Should you need temporary relief from your mortgage payments You may request up to 6 months of first mortgage loans forbearance (suspension of payments). During the forbearance, you will not be charged late fees, and payments will not be reported late to the credit reporting agencies.

Member Assistance Loan
Our new Member Assistance Loan allows members to borrow up to $3,000 for up to 36 months at just 3.0% APR1. We’ll also delay your first payment for 6 months from the loan opening date, so you can focus on other things. These funds can be used for important expenses such as paying bills, purchasing groceries, etc.

Member Fee Waivers
As a reminder, we returned to our standard fee policy for EZ Loan Pay, Courtesy Pay, Courtesy Pay Select and Share-to-Share Overdraft Transfer fees.

Paycheck Protection Program
As of Monday, January 11, we will be participating in the next round of the Payment Protection Program (PPP) loans through our lending partner, Lendio.  Click here, for more information about the program and to begin the application process. Please note: You will need to establish a unique user name and password for the linked site, which is different than the username and password for your Summit online and mobile accounts. Learn more about the Paycheck Protection Program.

As a reminder, on June 15, 2020 we returned to our standard fee policy for EZ Loan Pay.

Starting January 4, the IRS will begin the process of distributing the second round of federal stimulus funds, by either paper check or direct deposit, as part of the Economic Impact Payments/COVID-19 relief efforts.

Here are a few tips about these payments:

  1. To see if you are eligible to receive an Economic Impact Payment, please visit the Economic Impact Payment Information Center.
  2. Log into Online Access or your mobile app to see any pending deposits from the IRS. You may see a pending deposit anytime between December 30 and several weeks thereafter.  Please note we cannot release deposits sooner than the IRS allows. If you don’t have an online or mobile account, register today.
  3. The deposit date and amount are determined by the IRS. You can visit the stimulus check tracker and click “Get My Payment” to check the status of your Stimulus Payment.

As of January 4, 2021, the IRS has begun to send some of the second round Economic Impact Payments (stimulus payments) on a prepaid debit card (rather than a check or direct deposit).  Many recipients of these prepaid debit cards are unsure of their legitimacy, as they arrive in an unmarked envelope with a return address in Nebraska. Please refer to the News Release at IRS.gov and refer to the “Will people receive a paper check or a debit card?” question.

Those who receive their Economic Impact Payment by prepaid debit card can do the following without any fees**.

  • Make purchases online and at any retail location where Visa is accepted
    • Get cash from in-network ATMs
    • Transfer funds to their personal bank account
    • Check their card balance online, by mobile app or by phone

This free, prepaid card also provides consumer protections available to traditional bank account owners, including protection against fraud, loss and other errors.

Members may present the card for a cash advance through the drive up or call to inquire about how to transfer funds to their Summit account.  Instructions are included with the card to let individuals know how to access the available funds and any further questions should be directed to the card issuer.  The phone number and website are listed on the back of the card. **While the IRS indicates the card can be used without any fees, there are stipulations and limitations, including fees being assessed by financial institutions such as Surcharge and foreign ATM fees.

The Member Assistance Loan is a Personal Loan of up to $3,000 with a term up to 36 months (plus 6 months of deferred payments) at a rate as low as 3.00% Annual Percentage Rate (APR). The stated APR is the lowest available. Payment example: If you deferred the first payment for six months, a personal loan of $1,000 for 36 months at 3.00% APR will have $0 monthly payments for the first six months followed by 36 monthly payments of $29.46. Your monthly payment would be lower if you do not defer the first 6 payments.  Payment example: A personal loan of $1,000 for 36 months (without 6 months of deferred payments) at 3.00% APR will have a 36 monthly payments of $29.09 .
