Send, request and receive money from anyone.

All it takes is a Summit checking account.

Sending money is as easy as sending an email or text message. Summit Online Access features the Popmoney personal payment service. Send money directly to just about anyone, with no need to write a check, exchange account numbers or carry cash. You can even request money from others!

It’s similar to sending money through PayPal using an email address. But Popmoney has the added convenience of being right inside your password-protected Summit online account.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Enter the recipient’s name, email address or cell phone number and the dollar amount.
  2. An email or text message automatically notifies the recipient.
  3. The recipient securely enters an account number online.

Benefits:

  • Send money via email or text message.
  • More convenient than writing a check, more secure than exchanging account numbers or carrying cash.

What You Will Need:

  • Summit Online Access username and password or your account number and temporary Personal Identification Number (PIN) for initial online access setup.
  • The Summit FCU Mobile App (Available for Apple and Android) or a computer.

Login

Click “More” to continue to Popmoney. Click “Popmoney” to pay another person.

Select “Popmoney” to sign up for Popmoney.

Please confirm the contact information for the person you are paying.

On the Mobile App

  1. Login Information: From The Summit FCU Mobile App, enter your username and password (or account number and temporary PIN for initial Online Access setup).
  2. Popmoney Registration (Mobile App): To register for Popmoney via The Summit FCU Mobile App, follow the instructions below based on your phone type (Note: If you are already registered for Popmoney through The Summit Online Access, skip to Step 5):
    1. iPhone: Select the “More” icon and then select “Popmoney”
    2. Android: Select “Popmoney” from the menu bar
  3. Terms and Conditions: To enroll in the service, select “Accept” indicating you accept all Terms and Conditions. If you do not accept the Terms and Conditions you will not be able to register for Popmoney. Fees apply, refer to the Rate and Fee Schedule at www.summitfcu.org.
  4. Personal Information: Enter your first name and last name in the spaces provided and select “Complete Sign Up.”
  5. Send Money: To send money via Popmoney:
    1. Enter the recipient’s first and last name, their email address or mobile phone number in the spaces provided.
    2. Enter the amount you would like to send.
    3. Choose a “From” account (only accounts that show as “From” accounts in Popmoney in Online Banking will show here).
    4. Choose a “Deliver” date (the send date is always the current day, you cannot future date payments).
    5. Include a message with the payment (optional).
    6. Select “Send Money,” and confirm the payment amount. (Note: You can send money to a contact but not request money from a contact in Popmoney mobile.
  6. Verify Payment: Confirm the payment information including the “pay from” account, the recipient, delivery speed, and the total amount of the transfer including any applicable fees. After confirming the information, select the “Send Payment” button.

On a computer

  1. Login Information: Visit www.summitfcu.org. Enter your username and password (or your account number and temporary PIN for initial setup).
  2. Register for Popmoney: Hover your cursor over the “Move Money” tab at the top of the page and select “Popmoney.” Next, select the “Get Started” button.
  3. Confirm Your Information: Enter the requested information in the spaces provided.
  4. Terms and Conditions: To enroll in the service, select the box indicating you accept all Terms and Conditions. If you do not accept the Terms and Conditions you will not be able to register for Popmoney. Fees apply, refer to the Rate and Fee Schedule at www.summitfcu.org.
  5. Send Money: Select the “Send Money” tab
    • Enter the recipient’s first and last name, and their email address or mobile phone number in the spaces provided.
    • Enter the amount you would like to send.
    • Choose a send date.
    • Choose a delivery method.
    • Choose a “Pay From” account where the funds will be debited from.
    • Include an email message (optional).
  6. Verify Payment: Confirm the payment information including the “Pay From” account, the recipient, delivery method, and the total amount of the transfer including any applicable fees. After confirming the information, select the “Send Payment” button.
  7. Request Money: Select the “Request Money” tab
    • Enter the contact name from whom you would like to request money.
    • Enter the amount you would like to request.
    • Select a “Deposit To” account.
    • Add a due date (optional) by selecting the “Add a due date” box and then selecting a date.
    • Write an email message to the contact name from whom you are requesting money.
    • Add a note to the transaction (optional). The note will not be seen by the contact name.
    • Review your request to ensure that the name, email address, amount requested, and “Deposit To” account is accurate. To complete the request, select the “Send Request” button.
